Needs Assessment Tools
Here are two assessment tools to measure Emotional Intelligence and Culture Intelligence in the work place. These are perfect for identifying needs for individual development plans and group training. These can be conducted in English and Japanese.
Genos Emotionally Intelligent Leaders Assessment
If you believe that the way leaders make people feel has an impact on performance, then consider the Genos EI Assessment
The Genos Emotionally Intelligent Leaders Assessment is a behavioral assessment that measures individuals in 6 competencies: Self-Awareness, Awareness of Others, Emotional Reasoning, Authenticity, Self-Management, and Positive Influence.
Even though an individual believes they have a high level of self-awareness, what’s important is if they display behaviors that matter to their peers to the degree in which it is needed. Behaviors can be learned and developed to improve workplace dynamics and performance.
The Genos Emotional Intelligence Assessment can be conducted in a number of ways:
For Individuals:
Self-Report - this is ideal for new starter onboarding, an introduction to Emotional Intelligence, or a team awareness assessment (see below for more information on teams)
180 Degree Assessment - this is ideal for People Leaders and High Potentials who want feedback directly from Direct Reports only to see how they can lead their team effectively
360 Degree Assessment - this is where the individual can receive feedback from 3 or more categories of people, including Managers, Direct Reports, and Peers.
For Teams:
A consolidated report that displays how your team measures against benchmarks can reveal development opportunities. The topics that require the most attention can be addressed in targeted training.
Here are the options to choose from for The Culture Map:
1. Country Mapping Tool
This tool enables people to see similarities and differences between national cultures. This is recommended as a group introduction to culture session.
2. Personal Profile Tool
This tool helps individuals see where their own personal work style values align or differ from people in your own culture and from other cultures.
3. Team Mapping Tool
This tool is great for teams that want to understand how to work better together as it displays individual preferences in comparison to one another. The top gaps that are revealed in the tools can become the focus point of laser focused trainings.
The Culture Map Tool
Culture influences how individuals believe that work should be approached, even if teams have the same goal
The Culture Map tools, created by cultural expert Erin Meyer, are designed to help individuals and teams gain cultural agility by understanding their own work style values and the overlaps and gaps they share with others.
